...World Crisis, Our Crisis...
The world burns, its heat presses down,
troubles link sorrows across every corner.
Small towns, great cities burst into flames
the world burns beyond our strength.
This is the world’s crisis, spreading everywhere,
a threat that swallows, leaving none untouched.
We live inside it, each facing alone,
trying to respond as best we can.
We all see the world in crisis,
yet walls of rights divide our minds.
We stand on rights to prove ourselves
along a path grown narrow.
We stay with ourselves, not seeing the world,
though flames of grief rise before our eyes.
The world’s crisis blazes in our gaze,
yet we boast the worth of our own.
We claim each right we think is ours
but forget the duties that truly bind.
Our crisis is born by our own will,
repeated in silence until it swallows us.
The world’s crisis comes to strike,
returning as a question,
when all collapses and crumbles down,
who will we blame ?
